Our History

1929 A. E. Finley, H. A. Mooneyham, and J. M. Gregory formed Raleigh Tractor and Truck Company. In 1931 Mr. Finley went on his own during the depth of a depression...to start North Carolina Equipment Company. He built the company as a top-notch salesman speaking with confidence and conviction. He was a business go-getter and a developer of young men in the company. A.E. Finley wrote his own sales manuals and held sales meetings where he did most of the instructing. With Mr. Finley's hard work the company grew into having over 20 Construction Machinery Distribution Plants between Norfolk, VA. to Miami, FL. Over the years he owned all types of companies in which he was either the founder or co-founder. In 1963, A. E. Finley & Associates of TN, Inc. openedin Tennessee where we remain today.
